Aubrey O'Day Alleges She Was Fired from Danity Kane for Refusing to Engage 'Sexually' with Diddy

Aubrey O'Day has publicly stated that she was removed from the girl group Danity Kane after rejecting sexual advances from Sean "Diddy" Combs. The 41-year-old singer discussed her experience working with the Bad Boy Records founder in the new Netflix docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning.

O'Day described feeling singled out by Combs, saying, "Diddy made it clear that I was the looker... He was separating me, and there were a different set of expectations for me." She recalled a 2008 email she claims Combs sent, containing sexually explicit content, which she read aloud during the series. She also alleges that he sent her explicit photos.

"What happens in real life to anyone else, your boss gets fired. Six months later, I was fired," O'Day stated, suggesting that her termination was a consequence of refusing sexual advances.

In the docuseries, she also mentioned being contacted by an attorney representing a woman who filed a civil complaint against Combs, in which O'Days name was mentioned. The complaint alleged that Combs and another man assaulted an intoxicated O'Day in 2005 at Bad Boy Records studios. O'Day said she has no memory of the incident, questioning, "Does this mean I was raped? Is that what this means? I dont even know if I was raped, and I dont want to know."

Combs spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, responded by refusing to comment on individual claims made in the series, describing the docuseries as presenting a one-sided narrative. The series, produced by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, premiered on Netflix on December 2, 2025, months after Combs federal trial.

Combs was convicted on charges related to transportation to engage in prostitution but acquitted of more severe accusations including sex trafficking and racketeering. He is serving a 50-month prison sentence, scheduled to conclude in June 2028. He also faces multiple civil suits alleging sexual misconduct, which he denies.

O'Day has previously spoken out regarding her experiences. In September 2023, she claimed Combs tried to have her sign an NDA to prevent criticism of him and his label, advising her former bandmates against agreeing to it. After Combs sentencing in October, O'Day issued a public warning to young artists, emphasizing the importance of trusting their instincts and prioritizing personal safety over professional opportunities.
