The follow-up to the 2019 cult horror-comedy hit, Ready or Not, is officially on its way. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come continues the darkly comedic, Most Dangerous Game-inspired story, with Samara Weaving returning as a bride targeted by her wealthy in-laws at their luxurious estate.
Joining Weaving are Kathryn Newton, as well as horror legends Sarah Michelle Gellar and Elijah Wood. The cast also includes Shawn Hatosy, Nstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, and David Cronenberg.
The official synopsis from Searchlight Pictures reads:
Moments after surviving a brutal attack from the Le Domas family, Grace (Samara Weaving) finds herself in the next stage of the deadly game now with her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) at her side. Grace must navigate the perilous hunt to survive, protect her sister, and claim the High Seat of the Council that rules the world. Four rival families are pursuing her, and the victor takes ultimate control.
Grace survived the deadly events of the first film, which ended with her bloodied and disheveled on the manors steps amid flames. In this new trailer, she faces another life-threatening pursuit, this time accompanied by her sister, with Wood and Gellar leading the antagonistic family.
The sequel promises another intense, gore-filled thrill ride from the Radio Silence team. Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett return, with a screenplay by Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murray. Production is led by Tripp Vinson, James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Bradley J. Fischer.
The original Ready or Not earned over $57 million globally on a $6 million budget, showcasing the strong box office appeal of horror-comedies. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is set to premiere in theaters from Searchlight Pictures in Spring 2026.
