During a recent Brooklyn concert, Portugal. The Man invited comedic music icons Weird Al Yankovic and Jorma Taccone of the Lonely Island to perform an exuberant, yet heartfelt, version of Rage Against the Machines classic Killing In the Name. The trio delivered the cover at the close of the bands show on Tuesday, Dec. 2, with Yankovic and Taccone sharing lead vocal duties.

The performance captured all the chaos expected from a spontaneous Rage Against the Machine tribute: powerful guitar riffs, intense shouting, a frenzied mosh pit, and Taccone donning a Pee Wee Herman costume for added flair.

Portugal. The Man shared a clip of the performance on TikTok with the caption: Killing in the Name of but make it absolute chaos.

This Rage cover was one of two songs featuring Yankovic that evening, as he also joined the band for a rendition of their hit Live in the Moment. Yankovic and Portugal. The Man have shared a creative partnership since 2013, including commissioning vintage polka-style remixes of Feel It Still and Live in the Moment in 2018, and collaborating on the single Whos Gonna Stop Me in 2020 for Indigenous Peoples Day.

For fans of the Lonely Island and Taccone, his appearance on stage was especially noteworthy. Despite suffering a severe pelvis injury from a 20-foot fall in September, Taccone moved comfortably and energetically while wearing his Pee Wee Herman outfit, contributing to the lively atmosphere of the show.
