Olivia Nuzzi Struggles with Handling RFK Info Responsibly On Camera

During a recent interview with The Bulwark, Olivia Nuzzi appeared visibly uneasy when asked why she did not disclose certain information about Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. while promoting her new book American Canto.

Tim Miller questioned Nuzzi directly: You had information that could have been shared, yet you didnt. Why? Did you still have feelings for him?

Nuzzi replied, I dont know how to responsibly handle this on camera. In the book, I describe my private reaction and how I felt personally.

Miller referenced passages where Nuzzi described assisting Kennedy during his presidential campaign. Once you realized he was taking advantage of you, you didnt respond. You just allowed it, he said.

Nuzzi explained that she lost her job following the revelations about Kennedy and admitted that she had been terrified and in hiding when the correspondence came to light. She eventually became emotional and asked to pause the discussion.

I was afraid of the man I didnt marry and concerned about people knowing my whereabouts. Im sorry, can we pause this? Nuzzi said, visibly shaken.

Miller complied, ending the segment at that point. The interview highlights the intense personal and professional impact of Nuzzis experiences with Kennedy, as well as her struggle to address these issues publicly.
