Two individuals pretending to be police officers broke into a residence in Grantham and stole various items, according to Lincolnshire Police. The incident occurred when the men knocked on a property on Harlaxton Road, claiming they were law enforcement. When the resident requested identification, the men refused and forced their way inside.
Lincolnshire Police reported that the burglary happened around 15:35 GMT on Monday. Authorities are now appealing to anyone who witnessed the event or has dashcam footage to come forward. They are particularly interested in recordings from the area near the ESSO garage on Harlaxton Road between 15:30 and 15:55.
Following the event, Lincolnshire Police emphasized the importance of verifying officer IDs and urged residents to contact 101 if anyone refuses to provide proper identification.
