Serious injury sustained by man in city centre attack

A man sustained severe head injuries following an attack in the centre of Leicester. Authorities reported being alerted to an incident involving a man in his twenties on Horsefair Street just before 05:00 GMT.

Police stated that several individuals left the scene before officers arrived. The injured man was transported to hospital for medical attention, and no suspects have been detained so far.

Officers spoke with multiple witnesses at the location and are urging anyone with relevant information, including mobile phone or dashcam recordings, to come forward.
