Will Travis Kelce Pursue Acting After Retirement?

Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce may have a future that shines beyond the football field. In a recent episode of New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce, he spoke with Hollywood legend George Clooney about his plans after retiring from professional football.

During the conversation, Kelce hinted at a willingness to explore acting, especially if approached by some of his childhood idols, including Adam Sandler. He reflected fondly on his cameo as a waiter in Happy Gilmore 2, emphasizing how memorable the experience was.

Working with Adam was amazing. Hes such a great person, Kelce said. If guys like Adam Sandler or George Clooney ever called me again, Id jump at the opportunity.

Clooney playfully teased Kelce about missing a role in Happy Gilmore 2 while complimenting Kelces performance, highlighting the tight ends natural comfort on camera. The banter suggested Kelce could transition into acting smoothly.

Beyond podcasts, Kelce has already explored scripted television, portraying Ed Laclan on FXs Grotesquerie. He noted that acting alongside co-star Niecy Nash-Betts required the same level of self-awareness he applies on the football field.

Even in lighter projects, such as Amazons Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, Kelce brings dedication and a drive to improve. I always analyze my performance, thinking about what I could have done better, he shared.

Kelces experiences show a promising start for a potential Hollywood career, signaling that his post-NFL path may be as dynamic as his time on the gridiron.
