George Clooney Inquires About Travis Kelce's Plans for Acting Post-Retirement

Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce may have a bright future beyond football. On a recent episode of New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce, Kelce sat down with Hollywood legend George Clooney to discuss what life could look like after his NFL career.

During their conversation, Kelce hinted at a potential interest in acting, especially if approached by childhood favorites like Adam Sandler. Reflecting on his cameo as a waiter in Happy Gilmore 2, Kelce praised the experience and his work alongside Sandler. Adam is just an amazing person. Working with him was incredible, he shared. He added that if iconic actors like Sandler or Clooney invited him to participate in future projects, he wouldnt hesitate to accept.

Clooney joined in with some lighthearted teasing about missing his own cameo in the same film, while complimenting Kelces on-screen presence. I played a pretty good waiter, trust me, he joked, highlighting the playful dynamic between the two and Kelces natural ease in front of the camera.

Kelce has also explored scripted television, taking on the role of Ed Laclan in FXs Grotesquerie. He reflected on the experience, noting how working with co-star Niecy Nash-Betts made him conscious of his performance, similar to the focus he maintains on the football field. Im always evaluating myself, whether its football or acting, he said.

Even in lighter entertainment projects, Kelce strives to perform at his best. Discussing his appearance on Amazons Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, he admitted that he constantly looks for ways to improve. I always think about how I could do things better next time, he explained, showing the same drive that has defined his athletic career.
