What was the reason for Garcelle Beauvais' departure from 'RHOBH'?

Garcelle Beauvais was a key member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from Seasons 10 through 14. Following the conclusion of Season 14, she announced that she would not be returning to the series. On Instagram, she shared, Ive decided to leave Beverly Hills. Its been a wild ride some amazing moments, some difficult ones, but a ride nonetheless.

Beauvais elaborated on her choice to step away, highlighting that her decision was primarily motivated by family. She has three sons: 34-year-old Oliver with her first husband Daniel Saunders, and twins Jaid and Jax with her former husband Mike Nilon. With her twins entering their senior year of high school in fall 2025, Beauvais emphasized the importance of being actively present in their lives.

She also mentioned wanting to support Jaid as he embarks on a modeling career and to devote attention to other personal projects. Alongside acting, Beauvais runs her own production company and has spent the past two years executive producing films for Lifetime.

In an October interview with Variety, she reflected on her time on the show, describing it as both a valuable opportunity and a taxing experience. Walking away has given me my power back, she said. Its given me a sense of freedom. Im in a good headspace, focusing on creating, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying life.

Season 14 Reunion Tensions

The Season 14 reunion was particularly challenging for Beauvais. She walked off set and declined to take the customary cast photo after conflicts arose. She admitted to Variety, There was a moment where I felt like I no longer belonged here. I no longer fit in.

Her disagreements included a fallout with former close friend Sutton Stracke, with whom she has not spoken since filming ended. Beauvais also voiced concerns about how her castmates reacted to her opinions, including her speculation regarding Dorit Kemsleys home invasion and accusations that she was hiding parts of her life from cameras. I felt I was on an island by myself. I cant be friends with people like that, she explained.

Future on RHOBH

Beauvais indicated that she does not plan to return to RHOBH in the near future, though she left the door open for occasional appearances. In her March exit announcement, she mentioned, Andy Cohen says I can come back anytime, the door will always be open. So you never know, I might pop back in sometime.

Current Endeavors

Currently, Beauvais is focused on her production company, collaborating with Lifetime to highlight stories of Black womens experiences. She is also the face of Lifetimes Stop Breast Cancer For Life Campaign, continuing her work both on and off screen.
