Dec. 4 (UPI) -- The much-anticipated film Roofman, starring Channing Tatum and Kirsten Dunst, will officially premiere on Paramount+ this Tuesday.

According to the streaming platform, the film is inspired by a remarkable true story. It follows the life of Jeffrey Manchester (played by Tatum), a former Army soldier and struggling father who resorts to robbing McDonald's outlets by creating holes in their roofs. His unusual method earns him the notorious alias of Roofman.

After managing to escape from prison, Manchester spends six months secretly living inside a Toys 'R' Us store, staying out of sight while preparing for his next move. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Leigh (Dunst), a divorced mother who is captivated by his charm. As Manchester falls for her, his hidden life begins to unravel, leading to a tense and gripping cat-and-mouse chase as his past catches up with him.

Dunsts performance in the film earned her a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Performance. The film also features an ensemble cast including Ben Mendelsohn, LaKeith Stanfield, Juno Temple, Uzo Aduba, Lily Collias, Jimmy O. Yang, and Peter Dinklage.

Peter Dinklage was also seen at the premiere of Roofman at Paramount Pictures Studio in Los Angeles this past September.
