Kylie Jenner's Decision to Undergo Stem Cell Therapy: 'A Significant Step Towards My Recovery'

Kylie Jenner has followed in the footsteps of her sisters, Kim and Khlo Kardashian, by sharing her own experience with stem cell therapy. The 28-year-old reality star revealed her treatment on Instagram Stories on December 4, 2023, providing her followers with an inside look at the procedure she underwent at one of Dr. Adeel Khan's Eterna Health clinics.

Dr. Khan, known as a global pioneer in regenerative medicine, has treated a number of high-profile clients, including actors Chris Hemsworth and Zac Efron. Kylie began by posting a photo with her close friends, Anastasia "Stassi" Karanikolaou and Victoria Villarroel, at the clinic, sharing how they were there to support her. She followed up with another image showing herself receiving the treatment, lying on a hospital bed with an IV drip, covered by a blanket.

In her post, Kylie explained her decision to pursue stem cell therapy: "Ive been dealing with severe chronic back pain for almost three years following my last pregnancy. Nothing I tried seemed to help, but hearing about the relief Kim experienced gave me the confidence to look into stem cell therapy." Kylie expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to receive the treatment, adding, "Im honestly so thankful for the chance and resources I had access to."

She emphasized that each body is different, and while her experience had been a positive one, everyone should conduct thorough research and consult their healthcare professionals before considering such treatments. Kylie included a glimpse of the bandages on her lower back, where she had undergone the procedure, and a photo with Dr. Khan, who later reposted the image on his own account, calling Kris Jenner's daughters "so sweet" and expressing his privilege in working with them.

Kylies sister, Kim Kardashian, was the first to publicly share her own stem cell therapy experience with Dr. Khan in August. Kim had injured her shoulder while weightlifting and was left with debilitating pain. After exploring options, she met Dr. Khan, who treated her shoulder with "Dezawa Muse cells." Kim reported immediate improvement, regaining full range of motion, and described the results as life-changing. Encouraged by the success of her shoulder treatment, Kim returned to Dr. Khan for help with her chronic back pain, which she claimed had also been alleviated immediately after the treatment.

Kim also shared how she was grateful for the opportunity to receive the treatment, but cautioned her followers that stem cell therapy isnt yet widely accessible in the U.S., requiring her to travel to Mexico for the procedure. She urged her audience to "do their own research" and stated that she hopes this type of treatment becomes more widely available in the future.

Khlo Kardashian also underwent stem cell therapy with Dr. Khan in the same month, sharing her experience on Instagram. "I work out five days a week, so having something that helps with recovery, inflammation, and overall wellness is next level," Khlo wrote. She added that she appreciated the anti-aging benefits of the treatment, calling it a bonus perk. Khlo expressed hope that stem cell therapy would one day be accessible and affordable for everyone.

Stem cell therapy has shown potential in treating a variety of conditions, including blood cancers and other blood disorders. While research is still ongoing, medical scientists believe stem cells could offer solutions for numerous diseases in the future. Other celebrities, such as Zac Efron, have also shared their experiences with the treatment. Efron, who had back pain after an injury during filming, reported seeing significant improvement six months after his stem cell therapy.
