JoJo Siwa Provides Update on Health Status Following Hospitalization for Burst Ovarian Cyst

JoJo Siwa has provided an update on her condition following a recent medical emergency. The singer, known for her hit "Karma," was hospitalized on Friday, Nov. 28, after experiencing severe abdominal pain caused by a ruptured ovarian cyst.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Dec. 2, Siwa told her followers, Im feeling a bit better, though Im not fully in the clear yet. Still, Im doing well! She described the previous weekend as eventful and expressed gratitude for the messages of support she received.

Siwa recounted a brief fever the night after her hospital visit, which resolved after rest. She added that she is focusing on recovery by resting when possible and staying hydrated, noting the encouragement from fans has been a beautiful circle of love and support that aided her healing.

The Instagram post included multiple photos, showing Siwa in the hospital, on a stretcher in an ambulance, and performing at the Mall of America on the same day she was admitted. One image captured her giving a thumbs up from her hospital bed, while another displayed a thermometer reading 100F.

Earlier, Siwa had shared a TikTok update explaining the incident. She described the intense pain she experienced during daily activities and how it worsened on Friday morning. After calling emergency services, she underwent an ultrasound, which revealed a cyst on her ovary had burst and caused internal bleeding, explaining the severe pain.

She reassured fans that the condition should resolve naturally over time. Siwa also mentioned she has a follow-up appointment in a week but plans to continue her normal activities.

According to medical sources, ovarian cysts are fluid-filled sacs on the ovary that can rupture, potentially causing significant symptoms and requiring medical attention.
