Perspectum and InHealth to enhance MRI services at Oxford CDC

Perspectum and InHealth have formed a national diagnostic partnership aimed at enhancing MRI availability and overall capacity at the Oxford Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) in the United Kingdom. The Oxford CDC, part of NHS England, accommodated over 60,000 patient visits this year. By 2027, the centre expects to serve more than 100,000 patients, supported by expanded facilities, extended hours, and new clinical pathways introduced by InHealth.

Scheduled to begin operations in July 2026, this collaboration will provide advanced MRI scans to self-paying patients and residents across Oxfordshire. Previously, such services were only accessible in London or other specialised locations. The expansion seeks to bring diagnostic capabilities closer to patients and deliver faster, more accurate information to clinicians.

Since its launch in 2022 in partnership with Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Oxford CDC has demonstrated that community-based diagnostics can help reduce the burden on hospitals. The upcoming growth will strengthen services for diabetes, cancer, liver, and cardiac care, addressing increasing national demand.

Perspectum and InHealth also plan to roll out these advanced MRI services across InHealths national network. The initiative is designed to improve patient experience and enable earlier diagnoses throughout the country. Additionally, the partnership establishes a collaborative research network, combining InHealths national presence with Perspectums research expertise. This will support larger, standardized multicentre studies, including the UK Imaging Diabetes Study.

Geoff Searle, CEO of InHealth Group, stated: This partnership marks an important development in diagnostic delivery for the NHS and local communities. By joining forces with Perspectum, we are expanding capacity, increasing accessibility, and providing clinicians with higher-quality information. Together, we aim to enhance patient care by offering services closer to home and enabling quicker, more informed decisions.
