Raccoons, often nicknamed trash pandas, earned their reputation once again thanks to a daring coon in Virginia. This particular raccoon gained attention after an unusual Black Friday incident in Ashland, Virginia.
The animal reportedly broke into a local convenience store and consumed multiple bottles of bourbon before collapsing. Authorities discovered the masked intruder lying on its stomach in the restroom.
A responding officer safely captured the intoxicated raccoon and transported it to a nearby animal shelter to recover. According to the Hanover County Animal Protection and Shelters Facebook post, After a few hours of rest and no injuriesapart from what might be a hangoverthe raccoon was returned to the wild, hopefully having learned that breaking and entering isnt the way to go.
The shelter also shared a photo documenting the aftermath of the raccoons liquor raid on social media.
