Gutfeld angrily confronts Fox News colleague for highlighting FIFA's creation of an award specifically for Trump

During a lively exchange on The Five on Friday, Fox News host Greg Gutfeld sharply responded to co-host Gillian Turner after she remarked that FIFA had created a peace award specifically for President Donald Trump. The conversation, which centered around the United States hosting the upcoming FIFA World Cup, took an unexpected turn when Gutfeld expressed admiration for FIFAs decision to honor Trump with the newly introduced award.

I also love that FIFAs peace prize didnt go to someone like Greta Thunberg or any other typical peace activist, Gutfeld commented. His remark was immediately interrupted by Turner.

Gillian Turner: Because it was created for the president.

Greg Gutfeld: So?

Turner clarified, referencing FIFA President Gianni Infantinos statement about the awards creation. However, Gutfeld seemed unbothered by the fact that the award was tailored for Trump.

Turner: There were no other candidates.

Gutfeld: So?

Turner: It wasnt like Trump competed with others for the prize.

Gutfeld: So? Whats your point? Do you wish it went to Amnesty International or Greenpeace?

Turner raised questions about the necessity of a special FIFA award, to which Gutfeld swiftly responded, defending the gesture.

Gutfeld: Ill tell you why because they care.

Jesse Waters chimed in with his own take.

Jesse Waters: Because theyre kissing his butt.

Turner: Correct.

Waters: Because hes hosting the game.

Gutfeld then challenged Turner, asking her opinion on who truly deserves a peace prize.

Gutfeld: Who deserves a peace prize?

Turner: Im not getting into this with you.

Gutfeld: No, you started this with me.

The exchange heated up further as Gutfeld pushed back, arguing that Trump had, in fact, brokered peace on the global stage and deserved recognition for it. He emphasized that, regardless of personal opinion, the award was part of the larger global context.

Gutfeld: Why shouldnt he get a peace prize? Not that I really care, but this is just fun.

Turner responded by clarifying that she never said Trump didnt deserve the award. Instead, she expressed that it wouldnt help Trumps chances of receiving the Nobel Peace Prize.

Turner: I said its not going to help him in his quest to get the Nobel Peace Prize. That was my free expert advice for Gianni Infantino.

The debate ended with Gutfeld playfully accusing Turner of harboring a dislike for the former president.

Gutfeld: Why do you hate President Trump?
