A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that was stolen has been safely returned to her owner, though her five-week-old puppies are still unaccounted for. Mabel and her litter were taken from a home on Thetford Road in Coney Weston, Suffolk, on Tuesday.
Suffolk Police reported that entry was forced after a front door window was broken between 12:50 GMT and 14:50. Mabel was later discovered in a garden in Wouldham, Kent, and has since been reunited with her owner, Simone Devorty, who is appealing for any information regarding the missing puppies.
Authorities previously urged anyone offered an adult Cavalier King Charles Spaniel or the four puppies to contact them. Police believe the property was not specifically targeted for the animals, as a cream jewellery box was also taken during the incident.
