Brother and Sister, 4 and 12, Located unharmed by Police Despite Initial Concerns of Girl Possibly Carrying a Weapon

A 4-year-old boy from Wisconsin, Nevin Powell, who had been missing for several hours, was found safe along with his 12-year-old sister, Sanuya Wooten-Powell, after authorities had raised concerns that the girl might have been armed.

According to local reports, Nevin was last seen by his guardian on Tuesday, December 2, and was believed to be in the company of his older sister. The siblings were last observed walking together on North Fifth Street in Milwaukee.

Authorities were particularly worried about Nevin's wellbeing, as he had been outside in cold weather without a coat or shoes. Meanwhile, Sanuya was reportedly sought by police on a felony warrant related to battery against a law enforcement officer. It has not been confirmed whether she has been formally charged or taken into custody.

On Wednesday, December 3, both children were safely recovered by police, ending the search that had caused concern for the local community.
