Dak Prescott and Cowboys Encounter Two Setbacks on Monday

Dak Prescott and Cowboys Face Multiple Setbacks Ahead of Week 14

Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys wrapped up November on a high note with a three-game winning streak, improving to 6-5-1 in the 2025 NFL season after a narrow 31-28 victory over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs on Thanksgiving. Now, Dallas turns its focus to maintaining playoff contention against the Detroit Lions in Week 14's "Thursday Night Football."

Prescott delivered another strong performance against last season's Super Bowl runners-up, completing 27 of 39 passes for 320 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Rookie wide receiver George Pickens continued his standout debut season in Dallas, recording six receptions for 88 yards.

However, the Cowboys faced challenges on the injury front. Left tackle Tyler Guyton, sidelined with a high ankle sprain from the Week 12 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, did not participate in Mondays practice. Coach Brian Schottenheimer noted some improvement in Guyton's mobility, but he remained absent from practice, raising concerns for the upcoming game.

Adding to the team's concerns, George Pickens appeared on the injury report as a limited participant due to calf and knee issues. Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney also did not practice, and cornerback Trevon Diggs, out for the last six games, was listed as limited.

First practice report of the week for the #Cowboys - Jadeveon Clowney, Tyler Guyton both DNP - George Pickens, Trevon Diggs limited, Cowboys staff writer Tommy Yarrish tweeted.

The Dallas Cowboys will travel to Ford Field to face Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions on Thursday at 8:15 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on Amazon.
