The Cleveland Browns have officially started the 21-day activity window for quarterback Deshaun Watson. During this period, the team must decide whether to fully activate him or keep him on injured reserve for the remainder of the 2025 season.
This development was expected at some point this year and simply reflects that Watson is now cleared to resume practice. It does not necessarily indicate that the Browns view him as their long-term quarterback or that he will immediately return to a starting role.
Over the past few months, Watson has been seen throwing in private sessions shared on social media, but no firm return date was ever established.
Fans should not read too much into this update, as it likely wont affect the teams broader plans. The Browns have already witnessed Watsons performance on the field, and pursuing a top quarterback in the 2026 NFL Draft remains a strong possibility.
