Trump Achieves Milestone at His Golf Course, On Track to Surpass His Own Record

President Donald Trump marked a significant moment this weekend, spending the 85th day of his second term at one of his own golf courses, bringing him close to surpassing his first-term record. The president spent an extended holiday weekend in West Palm Beach, Florida, starting last Wednesday with a visit to the golf course.

According to reports from the White House press pool, Trump had already spent 82 days at his golf courses since the beginning of his second term. On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, his motorcade arrived at the West Palm Beach course at 8:43 AM, with no crowds of supporters or protesters visible along the closed Southern Boulevard. This marked his 29th visit to the West Palm Beach course near the county jail and his 82nd day at one of his own golf properties since returning to office. It was also his 16th trip to Mar-a-Lago.

Pool reports over the following four days confirmed additional trips to his golf course, bringing his second-term total to 86 days at his own courses after 316 days in officeroughly 27 percent of his term so far.

Records from golf tracking sites show that Trump ended the first year of his first term with 91 days spent at his own courses, and 89 days in his third year. Throughout his presidency, almost all rounds were played at his own clubs, with the exception of two rounds in Japanonce in November 2017 with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and golfer Hideki Matsuyama, and again in May 2019 with Abe.

Prior to January 20, 2018, Trump had made five visits to Trump National Golf Course, totaling 96 days for that year. With several weekends remaining in the first year, surpassing the 91-day record remained achievable. His current pace in the second term exceeds his first-term average, during which he spent about 21 percent of his time at his own golf courses.
