Mormon Wives' Chase McWhorter Speaks Out After DUI Arrest and Accusations of Drug Use

Chase McWhorter, known for his role on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, has publicly addressed his arrest this past summer. In a TikTok video shared on Thursday, December 4, McWhorter confirmed for the first time the reports that he was charged with driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance.

In the video, he admitted that the incident occurred on July 4, describing his actions as "extremely short-sighted, selfish, and dangerous." He explained that he had consumed substances he shouldn't have and then chose to drive, acknowledging the severity of his decision and its potential consequences.

McWhorter recounted being at a pool party with friends, intending to spend the whole day there. When a conflict arose, he decided to leave and drive a few miles home instead of using a ride service. He expressed regret over this choice, emphasizing that such decisions can be fatal and that he understands the gravity of his actions.

He also reflected on the personal impact of the arrest, admitting it was humiliating to be pulled over and taken into custody. McWhorter acknowledged this as a personal issue he needs to address and stressed that it does not reflect the guidance of his parents or the judgment of those close to him.

McWhorter addressed his former wife, Miranda McWhorter, noting that he informed her the day after the incident. He expressed remorse for disappointing her repeatedly, both as a partner and co-parent, and apologized for endangering others with his choices. The two were married for seven years before their split in August 2024 and share two children.

He mentioned he is currently facing the consequences of his actions, both legally and personally. Additionally, McWhorter clarified that a beer commercial featuring him will be released soon but was filmed prior to the incident, and he had hoped it might bring some levity to the situation.
