Mormon Wives' Chase McWhorter Reveals Details of DUI and Cocaine Possession Arrest

Chase McWhorter, star of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, has publicly addressed his arrest for driving under the influence and possession of cocaine this past summer. The Hulu personality confirmed the incident in a TikTok video, providing details and expressing remorse.

According to court records obtained by media outlets, 30-year-old McWhorter was charged with three misdemeanors in July: driving under the influence, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and possession of a controlled substance. His bail was set at $2,500.

"Its time to address what happened. Theres no PR spin herewhat you saw is true," McWhorter said. He explained that he had consumed substances he shouldnt have and made the dangerous decision to drive. "It was shortsighted, selfish, and risky. Im grateful the officer kept the roads safe, because it could have ended much worse," he added.

McWhorter detailed that the incident occurred after a disagreement at a pool party. "I should have called a ride, but I decided to drive. That choice alone causes tragedies every day," he admitted. He called being pulled over "humiliating" and acknowledged the seriousness of his actions.

He also addressed his family, explaining that he informed his ex-wife, MomTok member Miranda McWhorter, the following day. "Ive let her down before as a partner and now as a co-parent. Thats on me," he said. The two share children Brooks, 6, and Cohen, 4.

Chase apologized for putting others at risk and said he is cooperating with legal authorities. He mentioned a planned beer advertisement but clarified it was in motion before the incident. "I deeply regret my actions and am sorry for everyone affected," he concluded in his video.

Miranda McWhorter responded in the TikTok comments with humor, joking about Chase being read his rights. Fellow Mormon Wives cast member Zac Affleck also commented, praising McWhorter for taking responsibility while teasing, "Can we at least get a mugshot?"

Police reports reveal that officers observed McWhorters vehicle drifting and nearly hitting a curb. He claimed he swerved to avoid a rabbit, though none was seen by the officers. Law enforcement detected alcohol and noted signs of impairment. A search of his car found substances that tested positive for cocaine and fentanyl, and his urine later tested positive for alcohol, cocaine, and amphetamines.

After missing his initial court appearance, McWhorter faced an arrest warrant and posted $2,500 bail. He pleaded not guilty through his attorney in November, and the warrant was later recalled. His lawyer emphasized that McWhorter is presumed innocent and will receive full legal representation.
