Lauren Graham and Amy Sherman-Palladino to publish 'Gilmore Girls' book in Autumn 2027

NEW YORK Fans of Gilmore Girls can look forward to a deeply personal new book from the series' creator and star. Amy Sherman-Palladino, the mind behind the show, and actress Lauren Graham, who portrayed Lorelai Gilmore, are teaming up for this upcoming release.

Celadon Books, part of Macmillan Publishers, revealed Wednesday that the book is slated for Fall 2027. Promising a mix of keen humor, intimate reflections, and previously unrevealed stories, the project will explore life on set in the fictional town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut, where Graham played the single mother Lorelai and Alexis Bledel starred as her academically driven daughter Rory. The title of the book has not yet been disclosed.

Graham expressed excitement about the collaboration, noting that it offers a chance to share their experiences from filming both the original series and its later revival. Sherman-Palladino, who left after the sixth season but returned for the 2016 Netflix revival, said she would always welcome opportunities to work with Graham, describing their bond as lasting and special.

This will not be Graham's first book related to the show. In 2016, she published the essay collection Talking as Fast as I Can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls (and Everything in Between). Sherman-Palladino also contributed a foreword to Kelly Bishop's recent book, The Third Gilmore Girl, released last year.
