Fact Check: TMZ Did NOT Release Authentic Photos Of Diddy In Fort Dix Federal Prison Yard -- Their Watermark Was Faked

Reports claiming that Diddy was photographed in the Fort Dix federal prison yard with other inmates are false. The images circulating online feature a counterfeit TMZ watermark.

TMZ published a clarification, urging readers: "If you encounter photos or videos on social media, especially those claiming to be from TMZ, check our website. If it isnt on tmz.com, its not real."

One of the fake posts appeared on X on November 30, 2025, from the account @EXECUTIVEXMEDIA, captioned: Diddy spotted laughing with a gay inmate - via TMZ. The image was a screenshot showing the fake watermark.

On December 1, 2025, TMZ shared two images on X, including the one mentioned above. The post stated: So, we've seen the viral pics of Diddy at Fort Dix federal prison... and we hate to burst your bubble but these ain't real. The images linked to a TMZ article confirming their inauthenticity.

The TMZ article, titled "Diddy Slapped by A.I. in Prison!!! Mogul's Rep Hits Back at Fake Images", explained that the photos and videos circulating were AI-generated, not real snapshots of the rapper. The piece included a statement from Diddy's representative, Juda Engelmayer:

These images are not real. They are A.I. fabrications. Sean has always treated people with kindness and respect, but its concerning how often manipulated or AI-generated images are circulated while he is in a federal facility. Nothing in these doctored photos reflects reality.

The article also featured a genuine photo of Diddy in the prison yard, originally published on October 31, 2025. This grainy shot, taken from a distance through a metal grate, shows a man with a gray beard wearing a blue coat and an orange hat.
