High-ranking members of Ireland's government were updated regarding drone activity in Irish airspace on the evening Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived, according to BBC News NI.
President Zelensky arrived in Dublin late Monday for a brief official visit, accompanied by First Lady Olena Zelenska.
The Irish Defence Forces declined to provide details on any alleged incidents.
A spokesperson stated, "Support from the Defence Forces for the security operation, coordinated by An Garda Sochna, was effectively implemented through multiple measures, ensuring a safe and successful visit by President Zelensky."
It has been reported that the Irish police (garda) are not conducting an investigation. A garda spokesperson added, "Generally, and without addressing any specific event, any incident occurring in Irish waters falls under the responsibility of the Defence Forces."
