Sarah Ferguson, the former wife of Prince Andrew, reportedly continued communicating with Jeffrey Epstein long after she publicly stated their relationship had ended. This information comes from royal biographer Andrew Lownie, who shared his findings during an interview with a NewsNation correspondent.
According to Lownie, while many prominent figures in politics, business, and entertainment severed connections with Epstein following his 2008 conviction, both Prince Andrew and Ferguson allegedly maintained an ongoing association with him.
Lownie claimed that Ferguson was seen near one of Epsteins apartments in New York City more than a decade ago. He also said he had spoken with a dog walker who allegedly saw her leaving one of Epsteins properties as late as 2014 several years after she claimed to have cut all ties.
The biographer suggested that Fergusons continued contact with Epstein may have been influenced not only by financial factors but also by practical considerations, such as the availability of free accommodation while she was staying in New York.
Ferguson, who lost her formal royal status after Prince Andrew stepped down due to his association with Epstein, had previously acknowledged that she borrowed $15,000 from Epstein. However, Lownie believes the actual amount of money she received from him over the years was closer to $2 million.
He further stated that Epstein viewed this financial support as a strategic move, believing that his relationship with the Duke and Duchess of York could help him gain access to other members of the royal family.
Prince Andrews Connection to Epstein
Prince Andrews relationship with Epstein has been a long-standing point of public and royal scrutiny. In 2019, Queen Elizabeth II removed him from his official duties following a widely criticized television interview in which he attempted to explain his ties to the disgraced financier.
During that interview, Andrew was asked why he had continued associating with Epstein even after Epstein's 2009 release from prison, which followed a guilty plea related to solicitation charges involving a minor.
Although Andrew had reportedly distanced himself from Epstein in 2006 after an investigation became public, he allegedly met with him again in 2010 at Epsteins New York residence to formally end their relationship.
Jeffrey Epstein died in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial, with authorities ruling his death a suicide.
