Fairy tale enthusiasts, take note: Swarovski has transformed The Corner Shop and several window displays at Selfridges to celebrate two decades of partnership with Disney. The Oxford Street and Duke Street location now sparkles with vibrant crystal designs, all part of the new Disney x Swarovski collection.
Enchanting Window Displays
One display honors Cinderella with her iconic crystal slipper perched on a sweeping staircase. Featuring 221 facets, this shoe is among the originals from the 2015 Disney movie. Nearby, the Beauty and the Beast window presents an enormous Enchanted Rose crafted from nearly 200 pounds of crystals. Encased in a decorated glass bell jar, the rose took 205 hours to create and, along with the related collection, is exclusive to Selfridges.
The One Hundred and One Dalmatians window pays tribute to classic animation, showcasing a spinning praxinoscope that reveals a leaping spotted puppy. Meanwhile, the Bambi window highlights a baby deer composed of over two million crystals, some resembling delicate snowflakes.
Inside The Corner Shop
Visitors will find additional imaginative installations, including an Alice in Wonderland trompe loeil cabinet and a miniature crystal Dumbo with a sparkling feather. These pieces were created at Swarovski Kristallwelten in Wattens and brought to London for the exhibition.
Exclusive Collections
Swarovskis jewelry, including lab-grown gem designs, is prominently displayed. Collector-focused items include a crystal gingerbread house valued at 42,000. Selfridges exclusives feature Beauty and the Beast figurines ranging from 169 to 580.
Event Duration and Special Activities
The Corner Shop installation runs until January 3, coinciding with Selfridges broader Disney holiday campaign titled A Most Magical Christmas. This celebration extends to Selfridges locations in Manchester, Birmingham, and online at selfridges.com. At the Oxford Street flagship, a nightly Disney-inspired light and music show takes place from 5 to 9 p.m., with Tinker Bells pixie dust triggering light displays every 15 minutes. Tinker Bell also stars in this years Selfridges Christmas campaign.
