New Footage Captures ICE Vehicles Surrounding Mother of Karoline Leavitt's Nephew Prior to Her Arrest

A recently obtained video captures the moment Bruna Ferreira, mother of White House press secretary Karoline Leavitts nephew, was taken into custody by ICE last week. The footage, recorded on November 25 and shared by TMZ on Wednesday, shows Ferreira leaving her home in Revere, Massachusetts, as multiple vehicles converge around her car.

Wearing a gray hoodie, Ferreira steps out of the vehicle and is immediately handcuffed and escorted away by agents.

Ferreira, originally from Brazil, came to the United States as a child under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program during Barack Obamas presidency. She has an 11-year-old son with Michael Leavitt, the press secretarys brother. Following the arrest, her attorney Todd Pomerleau stated that Ferreira was in the process of obtaining residency and was suddenly arrested and separated from her young child just before Thanksgiving.

The Department of Homeland Security described Ferreira as a criminal illegal alien from Brazil with a prior arrest for battery. She was transported to the South Louisiana ICE Processing Center and is now undergoing removal proceedings.
