A46 section shut down after three-vehicle collision

A stretch of the A46 near Syston has been shut down due to a traffic accident. Leicestershire Police reported that emergency teams are responding to a crash involving three vehicles on the northbound side, close to the junction with the A607.

The police confirmed they were alerted by the ambulance service at 11:20 GMT, and the fire brigade also attended the scene. According to authorities, two of the drivers were unharmed, while the third is undergoing medical evaluation.
