Coventry Airport set to shut down in 2026

The UK Civil Aviation Authority has officially confirmed that Coventry Airport will cease operations next year. All current tenants have received formal notifications requiring them to vacate by 9 May 2026, ahead of the airports planned closure on 11 June 2026.
Established in 1936, the airport is located near Coventry in the village of Baginton, Warwickshire. According to a statement from the Civil Aviation Authority, Coventry Aerodrome has formally informed them of its intention to permanently close the facility from 11 June 2026.
The closure marks the end of nearly 90 years of aviation history at the site.
