Triple H has stated that Roman Reigns has achieved a level in WWE where he surpasses the significance of the championship itself, labeling him a once-in-a-generation superstar.
During the WWE Survivor Series: WarGames post-show, Triple H expressed admiration for Reigns, saying he has reached a rare status few wrestlers ever attain. He remarked, He has reached a point in the industry where hes beyond just holding the championship. Hes larger than the world title. He is truly a legend in his own right.
Comparing Reigns to legends of the past, Triple H noted, I often thought this about Undertaker. He transcended the sport so profoundly that his presence alone commanded attention, regardless of the title scene. Roman Reigns is at that level now. Theres an undeniable aura about him that sets him apart.
When asked if this hinted at plans for WWE WrestleMania 42, Triple H suggested that Reigns may not need traditional qualifications: A superstar of Romans caliber goes beyond the world title, the Royal Rumble, and the Elimination Chamber. Does he even need to qualify, or does he simply call his shot? Thats a decision we in WWE will determine soon. I suspect CM Punk or Cody Rhodes may be on a collision course with him. It will be fascinating to watch unfold.
This statement followed the Mens WarGames match, where Reigns, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and The Usos suffered defeat. Afterward, Reigns told Cody that this would be their last time teaming, potentially setting up a major WrestleMania 42 confrontation.
Backstage Drama at Survivor Series: WarGames
Reports revealed significant backstage maneuvering regarding the entry order for the Mens WarGames match. Triple H confirmed this during the post-show press conference, stating, It was an extraordinary event, one of the most star-studded WarGames matches I can remember. The level of talent involved was unmatched. Everyone delivered. With stars like Brock Lesnar, who doesnt naturally team with others, alongside Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, CM Punk, and Logan Paul, the competitive energy and backstage politics were palpable. It was intense, and you could feel it in the performances.
