Steph Curry Gets Positive Update on Sunday

Entering his 17th season in the NBA, Steph Curry has demonstrated that age has yet to slow him down. In the early portion of the 2025-26 season, he was putting up impressive numbers, averaging 27.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4 assists per game, driving the Golden State Warriors offense at an elite level.

However, Currys momentum was interrupted during a matchup against the Houston Rockets. In the final minutes of the fourth quarter, he took a hit on a drive to the basket, resulting in a right quadriceps contusion. He left the game with just 35 seconds remaining and was sidelined pending further evaluation. The Warriors later announced that Curry is expected to miss approximately a week or slightly longer as he recovers.

Family News Lifts Spirits

Amid his recovery, Curry received uplifting personal news. ESPNs Shams Charania reported that the Warriors plan to re-sign Seth Curry for the remainder of the season. Seth, who led the league in 3-point shooting last season at 45.6%, will reunite with his older brother Steph, marking a rare occasion for siblings to play together in an NBA regular-season game.

This reunion follows Seths release by Golden State just two months prior, a move made for roster and salary cap management purposes. Now back with the Warriors, Seth Curry brings experience from nine previous franchises, including the Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers, and Charlotte Hornets. He has career averages of 10 points and 2 rebounds per game, with a 43.3% success rate from beyond the arc.

The Curry Brothers First Regular-Season Team-Up

Steph Curry, the NBAs all-time leader in made 3-pointers, has previously played alongside family in the form of his brother-in-law Damion Lee, who contributed to a championship run. Now, Golden State looks forward to seeing the Curry brothers chase another title together as teammates for the first time in an NBA regular-season game.

The Warriors, holding an 11-10 record, will return to action on Tuesday at 11 p.m. ET against the reigning champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are 19-1 so far this season.
