Report: Will Smith's Wife Jada Accused of Threatening His Friend in Lawsuit

Bilaal Salaam, also known as Brother Bilaal and a close friend of Will Smith, has initiated a $3 million lawsuit against Jada Pinkett Smith, claiming that she physically threatened him in 2021. The legal complaint alleges that the confrontation took place in the lobby during a private birthday celebration for Will Smith.

According to the filing obtained on December 1 by PEOPLE, Salaam described Jada as arriving with approximately seven members of her entourage. He asserts that she warned him against discussing her personal affairs with anyone and allegedly made threats toward his safety.

The complaint reportedly details that Jada became verbally aggressive and warned Salaam that continuing to share her private matters could result in him going missing or being shot. He also claims that she demanded he sign a non-disclosure agreement under threat of consequences.

Following the initial encounter, Salaam says the threats persisted and that members of Jadas team followed him to his car. The filing also mentions that he declined a request from a mutual friend to assist with crisis management after the incident between Will Smith and Chris Rock at the Academy Awards, citing moral and legal objections.

Salaam alleges that after refusing to participate in the PR efforts, he faced continued intimidation from associates of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, including during the process of writing a memoir he describes as a whistleblower account. He further claims that a retaliatory campaign was launched against him.

The story was originally reported by Shazmeen Navrange for Mandatory. The legal action underscores ongoing tensions within Will Smiths circle and raises questions about the alleged attempts to control private information.
