Elizabeth Olsen describes Miles Teller as 'Playful' and 'Always Trying to Surprise Me’ on the “Eternity” Set (Exclusive)

Elizabeth Olsen has opened up about the lively atmosphere on the set of Eternity, crediting costar Miles Teller for keeping their scenes vibrant and engaging. In the film, Teller portrays her longtime husband, and according to Olsen, his presence helped make the filming process feel fresh and exciting.

The story centers on Joan, played by Olsen, who must choose between spending eternity with her first love, portrayed by Callum Turner, or remaining with her devoted husband of many decades, played by Teller. Despite the emotional weight of the plot, Olsen said the work itself felt relaxed and enjoyable thanks in part to Tellers spontaneity.

Speaking at the New York City premiere of the A24 feature on November 8, the actress explained that she and Teller didnt have extensive rehearsal time because of his busy schedule, yet their on-screen dynamic developed naturally. She attributed this to the screenplays strength and Tellers lighthearted approach.

When you have a solid script and actors who come prepared, everything becomes easier to explore in the moment, Olsen said at the event. She noted that Joan and Larrys decades-long marriage was built through banter and storytelling, which helped create a believable connection on screen.

Olsen added that Tellers playful nature contributed significantly to their chemistry. He was constantly trying to catch me off guard in a fun way, and that kept everything lively on set, she said.

The actress also praised cast members DaVine Joy Randolph and John Early, sharing that watching their improvised reactions during scenes often made it difficult to keep from laughing. We all had such a hard time staying serious, she said. It was a joyful, silly, and also creatively challenging experience.

Other cast members echoed Olsens sentiment at the premiere. Olga Merediz recalled instantly bonding with Olsen, describing their connection as sisterly. She also shared that her interactions with Teller were warm and friendly, even though their characters were meant to clash.

Randolph noted that working alongside castmates close to her age was a refreshing change and praised the films casting team for assembling a group whose personalities naturally meshed. We all clicked right away, she said, adding that the mix of different energies and quirks made the collaboration feel effortless.

Eternity, directed by David Freyne, brings together a diverse ensemble whose off-screen camaraderie helped fuel the films emotional core and comedic rhythms.
