Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' Pre-Thanksgiving Date Night Selfie Shared Amidst Justin Baldoni Legal Battle

Blake Lively shared a rare evening-out selfie with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, on Instagram Stories Wednesday, November 26. The couple, smiling for the camera, was spotted enjoying a night in New York City.

Puttin my night out hair to good use, Lively captioned the photo, also noting, I spy the Empire Hotel [if you know, you know], referencing the location prominently featured in Gossip Girl, where Lively and the cast often filmed, attracting numerous fans.

Lively, 38, and Reynolds, 49, first crossed paths in 2010 during the filming of Green Lantern. They began dating in 2011 and married in September 2012. The pair share four children: daughters James, 10, Inez, 8, Betty, 5, and son Olin, 2.

This date night comes while Lively navigates an ongoing legal dispute with her It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni. The film premiered on August 9, 2024, but legal issues between Lively and Baldoni have continued publicly. In December 2024, Lively accused Baldoni, 41, of sexual harassment on set and claimed he attempted to tarnish her reputation through a calculated smear campaign, as reported in a New York Times feature titled, "'We Can Bury Anyone': Inside a Hollywood Smear Machine."

Shortly after, Lively filed a formal lawsuit against Baldoni, citing sexual harassment, breach of contract, infliction of emotional distress, and invasion of privacy. Baldoni denied all allegations and countered with a $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds, and their PR team. After Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios failed to meet a filing deadline for an amended complaint, U.S. District Court Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed the countersuit on October 31. Lively's trial is scheduled for March 2026.
