Approximately 14,000 households across Kent and East Sussex continue to face a water outage for the fourth consecutive day following a problem at a local treatment facility. Several schools have remained closed for a second day in a row, while residents depend on neighbors to supply essential water.
At 08:00 GMT, South East Water reported "good progress" in restoring services. However, the company later updated its website to indicate that the next status update would be provided at 18:00 GMT on Tuesday, without confirming a full resolution.
For continuous updates, listeners can tune in to BBC Radio Kent, and viewers can follow BBC South East Today on iPlayer.
Residents of Tunbridge Wells expressed disbelief over the prolonged outage, with one stating, "I've never experienced anything like this."
