Trisha Yearwood Performs 'You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch' to Kick Off the Holidays on NBC Special

Country music star Trisha Yearwood is set to spread festive vibes this Wednesday, December 3, as she hosts NBCs Christmas in Nashville. In a preview of the special, Yearwood swaps traditional holiday melodies for a playful rendition of Youre a Mean One, Mr. Grinch, the iconic tune from the 1966 film Dr. Seuss How The Grinch Stole Christmas that has since become a seasonal favorite.

The Christmas in Nashville special will air on NBC at 10 p.m. ET, right after the networks Christmas in Rockefeller Center, and will be available to stream the following day on Peacock.

Filmed at Luke Combss Category 10 bar in Nashville, the program aims to deliver holiday spirit directly from Music City. Alongside Yearwood, the lineup includes performances by Bill Murray & His Blood Brothers, Lauren Alaina, Ne-Yo, The War and Treaty, and Trace Adkins. The special is executive produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment.

Last month, Yearwood released her holiday album Christmastime, which features her take on Youre a Mean One, Mr. Grinch as well as classic tracks like Candy Cane Lane and Elvis Presleys Blue Christmas. The album also includes the original holiday song Merry Christmas, Valentine, co-written and recorded with her husband and fellow country star Garth Brooks. Christmastime marks Yearwoods first holiday album since 2016s Christmas Together with Brooks, and follows her 1994 solo holiday release The Sweetest Gift.

Viewers can look forward to Yearwoods spirited performance celebrating the mischievous charm of the beloved Grinch.
