Timothée Chalamet Busts a Move to Soulja Boy Once Again at 'Marty Supreme' Tour Stop

Timothe Chalamet proved once more that hes always ready to bust out Soulja Boys iconic dance. While attending the CCXP convention in So Paulo, Brazil to promote his film Marty Supreme, the actor energized the audience with a lively performance of "Crank That."

Footage from the event shows Chalamet stepping onto the stage wearing a green and yellow pullover. As soon as he started the dance, the crowd erupted with cheers. During the performance, he removed his pullover to reveal a grey hoodie with USA printed on the back, tossing it to a fan, and then removed the hoodie to reveal a white tank top, greeting the audience with an enthusiastic Yeah.

This isnt the first time Chalamet has shown off his Soulja Boy skills. In 2024, he appeared on the podcast The Broski Report with Brittany Broski, demonstrating the dance moves and teaching them along the way. His love for dancing is well known; in 2021, Zendaya shared that they would have dance sessions in her hotel room during the filming of Dune. He also performed several dances in his 2023 role as Willy Wonka.

Chalamets interest in performing extends beyond acting. In 2012, he appeared as his rap alter-ego, Lil Timmy Tim, at New Yorks LaGuardia High School.

Recently, hes been promoting Marty Supreme, directed by Josh Safdie, where he plays the title character, a ping-pong champion chasing a dream no one respects. The role is loosely inspired by real-life table tennis pioneer Marty Reisman. The film is set to premiere in theaters on December 25.
