"The Young and the Restless" Actress Cait Fairbanks Announces Engagement to Musician Jay Rudolph: 'I Feel So Fortunate'

The couple recently marked their five-year anniversary, celebrating half a decade of their relationship before taking this next step.

Fairbanks, 32, revealed the engagement on her Instagram Stories, showing off her elegant ring, which Rudolph later reposted with the caption, She said Yes.

The proposal took place in Japan, at a scenic ryokan in Shizuoka. We were strolling along a river lined with beautiful autumn leaves, Fairbanks recounted. He called me over, and when I turned, I exclaimed, Oh my god, shut up, and then immediately said, Well, of course yes!

Reflecting on the moment, she added, I was very surprised, but weve been ready to share our lives for some time now, and I feel so fortunate to do it with him.

The couple first became romantically linked in October 2020 and have occasionally shared glimpses of their relationship on social media. Last year, Fairbanks commemorated their anniversary with a series of Instagram posts capturing their memorable moments, including a playful red-carpet appearance together.

In addition to their personal milestone, Fairbanks and Rudolph have been collaborating professionally on some of her upcoming music. Ive been spending time in the studio, and Jay and I have been working on the record, she revealed. Most of it was completed last year, when there was more time due to the slower pace of the writers strike.
