This December, Netflix is adding a mix of classic favorites and fresh releases. Among the highlights are Quentin Tarantinos iconic Pulp Fiction, Martin Scorseses The Wolf of Wall Street, and the teen comedy Mean Girls. New films like Wake Up Dead Man and Jay Kelly are also premiering, alongside a four-part docuseries about Sean Diddy Combs.
Upcoming Netflix Originals
Netflix is rolling out highly anticipated original films this month. These include the latest installment in the Knives Out series, Wake Up Dead Man, and the drama Jay Kelly, starring Adam Sandler and George Clooney. Fans of classic cinema can revisit Pulp Fiction, The Wolf of Wall Street, and Mean Girls.
Classic Films Available
Pulp Fiction (1994) stars John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson in Tarantinos groundbreaking, dialogue-rich, and violent masterpiece. The film interweaves the stories of a determined boxer (Bruce Willis), a diner-holding couple (Tim Roth, Amanda Plummer), and two hitmen (Travolta, Jackson) on a chaotic day.
The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) features Leonardo DiCaprio as Jordan Belfort, a Wall Street trader whose meteoric rise leads to scandal. Directed by Martin Scorsese, the film also stars Jonah Hill and Margot Robbie.
Mean Girls (2004) follows Lindsay Lohan as a new high school student navigating social cliques. The film launched careers for Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried and remains a cult favorite, with the 2024 musical adaptation also available on Netflix.
New Releases
Jay Kelly stars George Clooney as a celebrated actor reflecting on his career while traveling through Europe with his manager, played by Adam Sandler. Noah Baumbach directed the film.
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery (December 12) follows detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) investigating a priests murder. The ensemble cast includes Josh Brolin, Glenn Close, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Thomas Haden Church, and Jeffrey Wright.
Goodbye June features Kate Winslet in her directorial debut, focusing on four siblings whose lives shift dramatically when their mother falls ill. The film stars Winslet, Helen Mirren, Toni Collette, and Andrea Riseborough.
Sleeping with Other People (December 31) is a rom-com starring Alison Brie and Jason Sudeikis as two commitment-phobic friends who inevitably fall in love.
Docuseries Spotlight
A new four-part docuseries explores the life and career of Sean Diddy Combs, executive-produced by 50 Cent. The series delves into Diddys rise and fall in the music industry and features rare footage from before his legal troubles.
