'The Boys' Season 5 Teaser Unveils Premiere Date & Jared Padalecki's Reunion With Erick Kripke, Jensen Ackles — CCXP Brazil

The saga of The Boys is approaching its conclusion as Prime Video has revealed the premiere date and a new teaser for the fifth and final season. The announcement was made on Saturday at CCXP in So Paulo, Brazil, where the streamer confirmed on the Thunder Stage that the season will launch with a two-episode premiere on April 8, 2026, leading up to the series finale on May 20, 2026.

In this concluding season, Homelander (Antony Starr) dominates the narrative, his unpredictable and egotistical behavior shaping the world around him. Meanwhile, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mothers Milk (Laz Alonso), and Frenchie (Tomer Capone) find themselves confined in a 'Freedom Camp,' while Annie (Erin Moriarty) attempts to organize a resistance against the overwhelming power of the Supes. Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) remains missing, and Butcher (Karl Urban) returns with a virus capable of eradicating all Supes, setting in motion events that could redefine the world and everyone in it.

The teaser also highlights the return of Soldier Boy, portrayed by Jensen Ackles, who is now in a cryogenic state, and introduces Jared Padalecki in a mysterious new role, marking a reunion with Supernatural creator Eric Kripke. Showrunner Kripke appeared on stage alongside Erin Moriarty, Laz Alonso, Karen Fukuhara, Tomer Capone, and Colby Minifie during the announcement.

Prime Video's college-focused spin-off, Gen V, recently wrapped its second season, setting the stage for The Boys finale. The animated series The Boys Presents: Diabolical is unlikely to return for a second season. Upcoming projects include the prequel series Vought Rising with Paul Grellong as showrunner, and The Boys: Mexico, executive produced by Diego Luna and Gael Garca Bernal, with Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer writing.
