Sabrina Carpenter criticizes Trump’s White House for using ‘Juno’ in ICE Raids Video: ‘Evil and Disgusting… Do Not Involve Me in Your Inhumane Agenda’

Sabrina Carpenter expressed strong disapproval of the Trump administration after her popular track Juno was used in a video showcasing ICE operations. On X, the singer and Grammy nominee wrote: This video is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.

The White House has repeatedly incorporated songs from artists critical of Trump in clips praising the former president or ICE activities. In this latest instance, Carpenters lyric asking Have you ever tried this one? was paired with scenes of ICE agents detaining and restraining individuals.

Previously, Taylor Swifts song The Fate of Ophelia was similarly used in a November montage supporting Trump, despite the presidents frequent online criticisms of her, though Swift did not respond publicly.

Other musicians have also spoken out. Kenny Loggins criticized the administration in October for using his hit Danger Zone without permission in a controversial video depicting Trump interacting with protesters. Loggins stated he never authorized the use and demanded its removal, emphasizing that music should unite rather than divide.

British singer Jess Glynne reacted this past summer when her song Hold My Hand appeared in a viral meme promoting ICE raids, calling the post disturbing and highlighting that her music is meant for love and positivity, not division.

Carpenters public statement reinforces her stance against the use of her work to support political or enforcement agendas she opposes.
