Preview of Jared Padalecki's Debut in 'The Boys' Final Season Teaser Reveals Intense Conflict Ahead

The fifth and final season of The Boys is gearing up for a full-scale showdown when it premieres this spring on Prime Video. Fans got their first glimpse of the concluding chapter during CCXP Brazil on Saturday.

Following the events of season four, where Homelander (Antony Starr) seized control of the U.S. government, elevated more Supes to positions of power, and suppressed humanity, the final season sees the remaining heroes unitingsometimes reluctantlyto take down Vought once and for all.

The season is set to launch on April 6 and will run through May 20. In a tense moment, Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) rallies his team, warning, Even if I have to drag your broken fking carcasses over the finish line, we are going all the way, no matter the cost.

For fans of Supernatural, which also was led by showrunner Eric Kripke, the trailer offers a special reunion. Jensen Ackles reprises his role as Soldier Boy, seen being ignored by Homelander in the new footage. Meanwhile, Jared Padalecki debuts a mysterious character whose presence hints at hidden intentions. Padalecki and Ackles previously starred together as Sam and Dean Winchester for 15 seasons on The CW series.

Heres the official synopsis for season five of The Boys: Homelander rules unchecked, driven by his unpredictable and egotistical impulses. Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mothers Milk (Laz Alonso), and Frenchie (Tomer Capone) are confined to a Freedom Camp. Annie (Erin Moriarty) struggles to organize resistance against the dominant Supe forces. Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) is missing. When Butcher returns with a plan to unleash a virus that could eliminate all Supes, he sets off a chain of events that will reshape the world and everyone in it. The stakes are at their highest.
