Matt Lauer Allegedly Considering Comeback to Media Following Accusations of 'Inappropriate Sexual Behavior'

Matt Lauer appears determined to revive his career in the media world. The former NBC Today co-anchors tenure at the network ended abruptly in 2017 following multiple claims of inappropriate sexual behavior.

One accuser stated that Lauer summoned her to his office with sexual intentions, leaving her feeling powerless and concerned about her job security. In response to the emerging complaints, Lauer publicly apologized, while also asserting that not all the allegations were accurate.

Nearly ten years later, Lauer is reportedly exploring ways to reenter the media industry. Despite potentially strained professional relationships since his departure, he is said to be reaching out to former contacts for opportunities.

A source revealed that Lauer wants to return to media in some capacity and has been in discussions with industry figures about possible avenues back into the field.

The accusations against him involved inappropriate messages and explicit images sent to female staff members, including a young intern, which contributed to his career downfall at NBC and the end of his marriage to Annette Roque. The couple finalized their divorce two years after the allegations became public.

Following Lauers exit, Hoda Kotb stepped in as Today co-anchor, though recent reports suggest she might be considering a return to her former position.

Since his high-profile departure, Lauer has largely kept a low profile while residing in the Hamptons. Earlier this year, former CNN journalist Don Lemon speculated that Lauer could make a media comeback, suggesting that the public still has interest in seeing him on screen.
