Madonna Shows Support for Amy Schumer in Response to Weight-Loss Comments: 'No Need to Apologize for Taking Care of Yourself'

Amy Schumer recently shared an Instagram Reel discussing her weight loss, which she later removed, prompting a supportive response from pop legend Madonna. The iconic singer encouraged Schumer to prioritize her own happiness and well-being, emphasizing that external judgments should not dictate personal choices.

Madonna, 67, commented on Schumers post, Why do you feel the need to apologize for looking after yourself? People will always have opinions. Focus on what makes you feel happy and healthy. The message was directed at the 44-year-old comedian, who has been open about her recent health-related transformation.

The short video Schumer posted was filmed by her 6-year-old son, Gene, and offered glimpses inside her home. Over the video, she included a detailed text explaining her weight loss journey. Although the Reel was deleted, Schumer shared a screenshot on her Instagram Stories.

In her caption, Schumer explained, Sorry for whatever feeling it's giving you that I lost that weight. She clarified that she hasnt used Botox or fillers, but is taking the GLP-1 medication Mounjaro. She stressed that her goal was not to look hot but to maintain her health and survive a serious condition.

Schumer referenced her past struggle with Cushing syndrome, a disorder caused by excess cortisol that can lead to severe symptoms including facial swelling, muscle weakness, and other complications. She expressed relief that her condition has improved, saying she is now pain free and able to enjoy activities like playing tag with her son.

Addressing speculation about her marriage, Schumer added, Whatever ends up happening with Chris has nothing to do with weight loss or autism, mentioning her husband Chris Fischers autism diagnosis. She concluded optimistically, hoping for the best in their relationship.
