Kimora Lee Simmons Steps in as Mother Figure for Diddy's Twin Daughters, 18, Following Kim Porter's Passing

Kimora Lee Simmons has revealed the unique and heartfelt part she plays in the lives of her late friend Kim Porter's children. The businesswoman, 50, described herself as a "surrogate mom" to several kids, including Porters 18-year-old twins, D'Lila and Jessie.

Speaking on Today with Jenna & Friends on December 3, Simmons discussed how her already large family has expanded through her bond with other children. "I have my kids, and then I have kids on the side," she said with a smile. "I have a stepdaughter, another son, and even the children of my late friend Kim Porter. Some are adults, but the twins are 18."

When asked if the twins reach out to her, Simmons confirmed, "Yeah, theyre with me. I just got off the phone with them! Im a lot of peoples mom."

Porter, who passed away in 2018, shared D'Lila and Jessie with Sean Diddy Combs, along with sons Quincy, 33, and Christian, 26. Combs has been in jail since September on charges including racketeering and sex trafficking.

Simmons is also the mother of five of her own children: Aoki, 21, Ming, 25, Kenzo, 16, Wolfe, 10, and Gary, whom she adopted at age 10. Kenzo is her son with ex Djimon Hounsou, Wolfe with Tim Leissner, and Aoki and Ming with ex Russell Simmons.

Earlier this year, Simmons celebrated Kenzos 16th birthday on Instagram, sharing photos of him growing taller than her and spending time with his siblings. "Happy birthday to my 67 baby @kenzoklh Im so proud of you for the young man that youre becoming! Mama loves you sooooo much!! Keep rising to the top! Im right by your side every step of the way! ," she wrote.

In September, Kenzo debuted in his first modeling campaign for the clothing brand Eve, where he mentioned his mother as one of his biggest style influences. Simmons shared the campaign photos, expressing pride in her sons accomplishments: "So proud of my baby @kenzoklh for his first modeling campaign for @weareeve_!!! Congratulations! Mama loves you! ."
