Keke Palmer and Jack Whitehall lead as a couple whose peaceful suburban life takes a dark turn in the teaser for Peacocks upcoming horror-comedy series, The Burbs. The show, created, written, and executive produced by Celeste Hughey, is a modern reimagining of the 1980s Tom Hanks black comedy about a peculiar new neighbor who disrupts a quiet community.

The official synopsis reveals that the story follows a young couple who reluctantly move into the husbands childhood home. Their lives are thrown into chaos when a mysterious new neighbor arrives, uncovering long-hidden secrets and unleashing deadly threats that shatter the calm of their neighborhood.

Cast Highlights

Alongside Palmer and Whitehall, the series features Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch, Justin Kirk, and Kapil Talwalkar.

Production Team

Executive producers include Palmer, series writer Rachel Shukert, Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins from Fuzzy Door, Aimee Carlson, Brian Grazer of Imagine Entertainment, and Imagines Kristen Zolner and Natalie Berkus. Nzingha Stewart also serves as an executive producer, with Dana Olsen as co-executive producer. The show is produced by UCP, part of Universal Studio Group.

Release Date

All eight episodes of The Burbs are set to premiere on February 8 on Peacock.
