'Grinch-Like' Spouse Leaves Gwyneth Paltrow Feeling Isolated During Holiday Season

Gwyneth Paltrow has shared the challenges she faces celebrating the holiday season with a spouse who isnt fond of festivities. The actress confessed that she frequently feels alone during Christmas because Brad Falchuk dislikes almost every tradition she loves.

Contrasting Holiday Styles

On her Goop podcast, Paltrow explained that she and Falchuk have very different approaches to the holidays. While she dives into decorations, music, and family customs, her husband prefers to avoid these celebrations entirely. She humorously referred to him as a Grinch, noting that his lack of holiday enthusiasm often leaves her feeling isolated.

My husband is a little bit of a Grinch so hes the opposite, Paltrow said. But I love the decorations, I love the Frank Sinatra Christmas album. I really get into the holiday spirit.

Holiday Aversions

Paltrow didnt hold back describing Falchuks dislikes. Brad is the worst, she remarked, highlighting that he dislikes Christmas music, decorations, and even traditional meals like roast turkey. She admitted that he mainly looks forward to the season ending.

Children Keep the Spirit Alive

Despite Falchuks indifference, the couples children help maintain a festive atmosphere. Paltrow shares Apple and Moses with her ex-husband Chris Martin, while Falchuk has Isabella and Brody. I feel very alone in my house in my love for Christmas, although all the kids love it, so theyre on my side, she said.

The actress also described the familys holiday routine, which includes celebrating both Christmas and Hanukkah. We have a really fun Christmas morning. We usually take a long time to open presents, go for a long walk on the beach, eat, and stay in pajamas, she shared.
