Comedian Catherine Cohen and 'The Other Two' Star Heléne Yorke to Headline Film 'Transcendent' (Exclusive)

A fresh comedy film is set to poke fun at the quirks of the wellness world. Catherine Cohen and Helne Yorke will headline the upcoming movie Transcendent, directed by Jeremy Redleaf, with principal photography recently completed.

The film also features a supporting ensemble including Rebecca Henderson and Ben Sinclair, joined by Alex Moffat, Chris Gethard, Alysia Reiner, Dave Alan Basche, Gus Birney, Maddie Corman, Jordan Carlos, Glo Talvarez, Mark Gessner, and Catherine Curtin.

Transcendent follows Cohen and Yorke as wellness gurus who are ironically in need of healing themselves. After a disastrous ayahuasca retreat, they try an alternative therapy in upstate New York, where they encounter a series of eccentric characters, including their former partners, played by Henderson and Sinclair.

Jeremy Redleaf, known for 3rd Street Blackout and the Streamy-winning Odd Jobs, directed the film from his own screenplay. He shares story credits with Matthew Ballen. Redleaf and Joshua Elias Palmer are producing, while Cohen, Ballen, Branton Choi, Colton Brown, and Ryan Cunningham are executive producers. Transcendent is about searching for inner calm amid chaos, Redleaf explains. No one has everything figured out. The only way through the messy, beautiful journey of life is together.

Cohen, a comedian, actress, and musician, is known for her Netflix special The Twist ? Shes Gorgeous and has earned acclaim as best newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival. Her acting credits include Netflixs Sirens, Hulus Only Murders in the Building, and the films Sentimental Value and The Running Man.

Yorke, recognized for her work on HBO Maxs The Other Two, has also appeared on Showtimes Masters of Sex, Epixs Graves, and CWs Katy Keene. Upcoming projects for Yorke include the film Carousel, starring alongside Jenny Slate and Chris Pine, and the biopic Hershey.
