2025: Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd Lead Spotify's Top Artists List

Spotify has revealed its list of the top artists for 2025, with Bad Bunny once again taking the top spot. The Puerto Rican rapper dominated the global streaming scene, accumulating 19.8 billion streams worldwide. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Bad Bunny has secured the number one position, having previously topped the chart in 2020, 2021, and 2022. Additionally, his album "DeB TiRAR MS FOTos" emerged as the top global album of the year.

To commemorate his success, Spotify collaborated with Stillz and A1 Productions to produce a short film that follows Bad Bunny's character, Sapo Concho. The streaming platform also organized fan events in major cities like San Juan, Paris, Mexico City, Bogot, and Madrid, and hid a special Bad Bunny-related Easter egg within its platform.

Along with Bad Bunny, other top global artists included Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Drake, and Billie Eilish, rounding out the Top 5. The list of top albums of the year was more diverse. Bad Bunny's "DeB TiRAR MS FOTos" was followed by the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack, "HIT ME HARD AND SOFT" by Billie Eilish, SZA's "SOS Deluxe: LANA", and Sabrina Carpenters "Short n' Sweet".

Among the most-streamed songs, both Bad Bunny and Billie Eilish made appearances in the top five. Eilishs "BIRDS OF A FEATHER" ranked second, while Bad Bunnys "DtMF" took fifth. However, the song that topped the global charts was "Die With a Smile" by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars. Other notable tracks included ROS and Bruno Mars "APT." at third, and Alex Warrens "Ordinary" in fourth place.

Turning to podcasts, Joe Rogans The Joe Rogan Experience maintained its reign as the most-listened-to podcast for the sixth consecutive year. Following Rogan were Steven Bartlett's "The Diary of a CEO", "The Mel Robbins Podcast", Alex Coopers "Call Her Daddy", and Theo Vons "This Past Weekend." Wellness-themed podcasts continued to trend, with shows like "Huberman Lab", "On Purpose" by Jay Shetty, and "Modern Wisdom" making the global top 10.

In an effort to enhance user engagement, Spotify introduced several new features for its annual Wrapped experience. For the first time, the platform spotlighted users top albums and audiobook genres, along with exclusive clips from their favorite authors and podcasters. Another new addition was the year-end Listening Archive, which uses AI to highlight a user's most memorable streaming days.

Other community-oriented features included the Listening Age, which compares a users music taste with others in their demographic. Spotify also launched Spotify Clubs, which categorize listeners into one of six clubs based on their streaming habits. The Fan Leaderboard allows users to compare their rankings with other global listeners of their favorite artists.

A new interactive feature, Wrapped Party, allows users to turn their Wrapped data into a live competition with friends. To join, users can visit the Wrapped Hub on Spotify or search for "Wrapped Party" within the app.
